In 1964 MICHELE BATTUT entered The National School of the Beaux-Arts of Paris from which she received her diploma in 1969. For the next two years she studied in Madrid at the prestigious Casa Velasquez. As a young painter her success was immediate and in the ensuing five years she received numerous prizes awarded to the only painter under the age of thirty.
MONIQUE JOURNOD is an Internationally renowned French artist. Her work is representational, and includes both still life and landscape paintings. In her classical approach, she brings a full range of experience to the canvas as she fills the painting with depth, color and life.
Her professional honors begin with the First Prize of Rome in 1962. Her credentials include the “Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts de Paris” (Atelier Chaplain- Midy) and the President of the Painting Section of the Salon of French Artists.
